What is a Call to Action?

 Rep. Paul Friel of House District 26 (D) has introduced a bill titled the Officer Visibility Act.  This will require that all Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) NOT wear  masks when they carry out arrests and raids. ICE agents have taken  advantage of the lack of regulation and wear masks to not be identified  while they carry out unlawful arrests and raids. The lack of regulation  has also resulted in vigilante raids by masked civilians. Tell your Reps that you support this bill!

Independence Mall is considered a National Park and has come under scrutiny by the "anti DEI" Trump Administration. There are amazing displays at the entrance and inside the building with the Liberty Bell that discusses the reality that our founding fathers had slaves. The Trump Administration would rather we remove this information. Call our senators to let them know that we will NOT allow this to happen. You cannot whitewash this history!

On July 1st, SEPTA's current budget will run out. Currently, the General Assembly has been unable to pass a new budget for the new fiscal year. This will lead to service suspensions for Regional Rail as well as busses and PATCO, which will devastate commuters and the tourism industry for Philadelphia. This will lead to even more traffic on major roads such as 95 and 76 as well as create difficulties for lower income and disabled residents. Learn more here. 

ICE has been sending plain- clothed officers to "arrest" (i.e. kidnap) people seen as "illegal" immigrants- some are even naturalized US citizens. They are being sent to El Salvador where they are being kept in appalling conditions. These unconstitutional actions cannot be allowed to continue! Stand up for our citizens and citizens-to-be. No person is illegal!

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act is currently being reviewed in the Senate. This bill would require more documentation for voters and risks disenfranchising millions of Americans in the process. Tell your Senators that voter suppression is simply unAmerican and will not "safeguard" anyone. 

Trump’s administration just tried to bury the Epstein scandal. The  DOJ’s review, led by Trump’s former impeachment lawyer Pam Bondi, claims  there’s no client list, no blackmail, and nothing left to investigate. But Bondi herself once said the list was “on her desk.” Now she says it  never existed. Voters across the political spectrum don’t believe it.  And neither do we. Demand your Representatives to vote to release the files.
